Our history by Michael Rendle
Being in a band is fantastic, and when the right people come together magic is created for both the audience and those on stage. Sometimes though, band members evolve in different directions. That's not always a bad thing; from change can come greatness!
That is exactly the situation that created Cadillac Junction. Simon (bass) and I (drums) had been in a fantastic band which rather sadly and abruptly came to an end. We both decided we wanted to continue together if possible and mulled the options of starting a new band from scratch. Then along came John!
Believing he could bring something special to the local
Rock 'n' Roll scene, John had plans to start a new band dedicated to the genre.
John, Simon and I met on a Sunday in February 2020. The seeds of something special were sown at that jam but a couple of weeks later that would go to another whole level altogether when the other Michael joined us. To avoid confusion we called the new Michael, Hank, and you will know why when you hear him bring his Fender alive in a way that defined the Shadows and then so many bands that followed.
Since those early jams the four members have gelled into a special group. We love the iconic songs of that golden era and we love to play them to everyone who loves Rock 'n' Roll.
John's incredible guitar skills and his perfect Rock 'n' Roll voice lead the vocals for the band. Simon's fantastic bass work drives the rhythm section. Michael's sublime rock guitar playing and vocals are to be savored, and he is full of surprises! One Sunday practice he launched into a solo version of Paul McCartney's "Blackbird" which could have graced any stage in the world. He followed that up with an even more amazing version of "The Sound of Silence". Just wow! His guitar work on anything by the Shadows is note-perfect.
I get the best seat in the house, right behind the drums. Listening to these three guys crank out such amazing Rock 'n' Roll, and in such a beautifully blended manner, I have to remind myself I'm here to add my bit too not just be awed by three of the best guitarists I've ever had the good fortune to work with.
Rather, to be awed by these guys is your job! And I bet the smile on your face listening to them will be as big as mine playing alongside such amazing musicians!

Lead Guitar, Lead Vocalist
Cadillac Junction was formed by John with one intention - to create a Rock 'n' Roll band that would deliver the classics in a timeless and professional style. The CJ sound is anchored by John's superb guitar work and fantastic vocals.
Mike Lea
Lead Guitar and Vocals
Mike brings a lifetime of Rock 'n' Roll experience to Cadillac Junction as well as a particular love of The Shadows. His guitar work is note perfect and there's a good reason he's been nicknamed Hank!
Mike Rendle
Drums & Percussion
Sometimes the journey isn't direct but instead follows the scenic route. Drums wasn't Michael's starting point but was always the final destination.
Simon Needham
Bass & Vocals
Every great band needs a strong rhythm section and Cadillac Junction has Simon to anchor theirs. A talented guitarist and bass player, he has a love of Rock 'n' Roll and the experience to go with it.

They Rocked My Crocodile!
My mate Bernie and I saw Cadillac Junction. They played at the Club At The End of The Street. They were fantastic! These Honky Cats really know how to rock from the first to The Last Song. Daniel and the Tiny Dancer at the front seemed to be having a great time too!
